Company History

Formed in May 2011 by Sophy Layzell, Kat Wilsher and Vickie Hobbs, MAdD Theatre Company is a Somerset based semi-professional company that is associated with, but independent from MAdD Performing Arts.
Created to bring new theatrical work to the community MAdD Theatre Company is a not-for -profit organisation dependent on grants and private funding.

 

 

Come and join us as we begin working through new ideas for our next show,

Working Title: 'School Run'

Starting in September on Friday evenings, in the Ilminster area,  if you are over 16 with stage experience you are welcome to join us.
Each week we'll explore different ideas using games and building dialogue and characters using a variety of improvisation techniques. We aim to create a musical which will be performed at the Brewhouse Theatre on Saturday 5th July 2013 (tbc). This will then be toured locally before re-writes, and rehearsals for another appearance in Edinburgh August 2014.

New material, old favourites, a jolly time for all. Fresh from their Edinburgh adventure MAdD Theatre co will be performing with younger MAdD Peforming Arts in a one off Variety Night to raise money for BIBIC and the theatre co.
